Surrey is a landlocked ceremonial county in South East England, bordering Greater London to the north and Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire and Berkshire on its other sides. Known for its prosperous commuter towns, the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and some of the highest property prices outside London, it is one of England's most sought-after counties for residential living. The county town is Guildford, which hosts the county council and the University of Surrey.
