West Sussex is a county in the South East of England, bordered by East Sussex to the east, Hampshire to the west, Surrey to the north and the English Channel to the south. The county includes the coastal towns of Worthing, Bognor Regis and Littlehampton, the cathedral city of Chichester, and the market town of Horsham. Chichester serves as the county town, and much of the northern part of the county falls within the South Downs National Park.
